Homes in the Heart of Virginia: PEFYA Heads to Dixie Baseball World Series in Florence South Carolina

PEFYA Heads to Dixie Baseball World Series in South Carolina

Baseball in Central Virginia

PEFYA Winners Coach PitchFrom July 28th thru August 2nd 12 players and 1 commissioner from Prince Edward Farmville Youth Association will go to the Dixie Youth Coach Pitch World Series in Florence, SC.  There they will compete against 15 other teams from Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.

PEFYA always fields strong baseball  & softball teams.  Our volunteer league is strong and there is never a shortage of coaches, concession stand workers, field workers and board volunteers to support and coach the hundreds of local youth who come out every spring for baseball and softball. We rally around winning and losing teams alike, however, nothing gets our community as excited as All-Star tournaments.

This year our group of All-Stars from the coach pitch league went to the state tournament and secured a third place ranking.  The team knew that meant on to the World Series and the excitement started brewing.

They will play their hearts out this much we know to be true.  This fine group of young boys will have a grand time.  And the community of Prince Edward and Farmville will wish for wins

PEFYA is a non-profit organization and will be paying for the trip for the World Series.  If you would like to donate to PEFYA to help cover the costs of the trip it would be much appreciated. This trip will be a very expensive cost for our local association.  PEFYA can only continue to support our youth with our financial support.

Write all checks to PEFYA, in the memo line note World Series, and mail to PO BOX 91 Farmville, VA 23901.

Play hard team!  We are proud of you.

How cool is that, I used to coach girls softball years ago and we won the championship 3 years in a row. It was a blast, best of luck
